A melody soars above mechanical rhythms in this reinvention of the Christmas classic, with aleatoric textures creating a reflective middle section (called “incredibly beautiful, shattering” by 2017 Pulitzer Prize winner Du Yun). SATB (div.) with piano accompaniment.
